Making the reservation was easy. We got a clear answer & price. Swasti is not only a hotel, but also rents bungalows. We settled for a traditional bungalow. It had nice beds & a typical outside bathroom, but no a/c, only a fan. We didn't miss it.
Later we moved to a room. That's more comfy & feels more spacious & luxurious. It has a nice terrace in front overlooking the beautiful garden.
The staff gets to know you better each day. They are friendly, welcoming & helpful. One of the reasons to stay longer was that our daughter felt at ease.
It is quite a walk to Ubud. Swasti is located 500 mtrs south of the Monkey Forest. You can use the bypass path that locals use. We usualy walked the first part and then used a taxi.
Occasionally Swasti organises a Balinese dinner. Children from a nearby danceschool come to perform traditional dances. We were lucky to have the opportunity to be present at one. We enjoyed a lovely evening with delicious food prepared by the staff. Swasti is nice.
